About PAWSA David Esekhile , known professionally as PAWSA , is a British DJ, producer, and label owner born on March 31, 1992 in London, England. Specializing in tech house, PAWSA has earned a reputation for his distinctive, groove-led sound—stripped-back, impactful, and built with the dancefloor in mind. His music draws on influences from classic house and hip-hop, shaped through a modern minimal-leaning lens with driving grooves, clever sampling, and understated hooks. His sound has been described as "inventive tech house with an old school vibe." PAWSA officially launched his career in 2014 with the release of his debut EP Pilot through the renowned Lost Records. His productions quickly caught the attention of industry heavyweights including Damian Lazarus , Jackmaster , Green Velvet , Nicole Moudaber , Adam Beyer , and Pan-Pot . He released EPs on Green Velvet's Relief Records and Moudaber's Mood Records , cementing his reputation as a producer destined for lasting impact. In 2015, PAWSA co-founded Solid Grooves Records alongside fellow tech house pioneer Michael Bibi . In 2017, PAWSA launched his own imprint, PAWZ , as a more personal creative outlet for tracks outside the Solid Grooves sound. Solid Grooves celebrated its 100th release in 2025 with the Summer Sampler 2025 compilation, featuring PAWSA's track "Rendezvous," and held a summer-long residency at DC-10 Ibiza . PAWSA's catalog of club-ready anthems includes fan favorites like "Party," "The Groovy Cat," "All Eyez," "Dog Days," and "Collect the Commas" (via CircoLoco Records).
